Occupational Health

Employee Counselling Service has a long tradition of co-operation with Occupational Health Professionals.  We understand the role that Occupational Health provides in organisations and we can contribute to that role.

Occupational Health professionals can encourage employees of affiliated organisations to refer themselves for support including a programme of structured counselling.  If the employee makes a self referral the contact will be completely confidential.

Should an Occupational Health professional feel it would be helpful to know that the employee is attending counselling they can suggest to the employee that they make an Occupational  Health referral.  With a formal referral Occupational Health will then receive a report confirming that the employee has attended and when their next appointment is due.  At the end of counselling they will also be informed.                            occupational_health

While the content of counselling is confidential an Occupational Health professional can contact the employee's counsellor or one of our Senior Counsellors to discuss any concerns they may have.

If you an Occupational Health Provider working with a number of organisations and you would like to organise for their employees to have access to Employee Assistance Service contact us and we can explain how this could operate.
