Employee Counselling Service is a specialist organisation dealing with working people.  It has a realistic understanding of the workplace and the competing demands placed on Managers.

The service is there as a resource for Managers and Supervisors in a number of ways.  It is a useful option if you are supporting an employee experiencing personal problems.  Trying to be supportive can eat in to your busy schedule.  Being available to listen, dealing with the problems of confidentiality or hearing disturbing information can leave a Manager feeling out of their depth.  Most people who use the service are encouraged by their Manager.stressed20woman20at20work202

A Manager from an affiliated organisation can also get direct support to help tackle sensitive or difficult situations.  One of our Senior Counsellors can be available to help a Manager think through and plan for a difficult interview.  They cannot give information on policies and procedures, but can help plan for the emotional reactions such as anger, distress and similar problems.

Employee Counselling Service provides training courses that can help Managers deal with these types of problems.
